Get to Know the Global Village in Dubai!

The Dubai Global Village was first established in January 1997 as part of a shopping festival in the city. The aim of launching this village, or Global Village Dubai, was to present a miniature version of the entire world, gathering art, culture, and famous cuisines from various countries in one location.

This village features many pavilions, each representing a different country. These pavilions represent nearly 90 different countries, including regions across the Middle East, North and Central Africa, Europe, and America. You might find it interesting to know that the Global Village Dubai was not in its current form when it was first constructed! Initially, this place started with a few small pavilions. Due to the overwhelming response from visitors, a wider variety of entertainment was added to the village each year, and more pavilions from different countries were incorporated into this location. This gradual process transformed the village into its present form.

Opening Dates of the Dubai Global Village

The Global Village operates during specific months of the year and is one of the busiest attractions in Dubai during the autumn and winter seasons (from October to April).

Which Countries Have Pavilions in the Global Village?

As mentioned, the Global Village features 26 pavilions that represent the culture, traditions, and souvenirs of various countries from around the world. Some of these pavilions include the following countries:

• Europe (Russia, Italy, Spain, England, France, etc.)
• Asia (Japan, China, Philippines, etc.)
• Africa (Morocco, Egypt, Africa, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, etc.)
• Middle East (United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, etc.)

In 2022, to further familiarize tourists and visitors with other countries, approximately 13 additional pavilions were added to Dubai Global Village. These countries include Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Brunei, Laos, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, Bhutan, Myanmar, Qatar, Oman, and the Philippines.

• Iran Pavilion: One of the most beautiful pavilions in the Global Village, the Iran Pavilion resembles a magnificent palace more than an ordinary exhibition. This pavilion showcases delicious foods, exquisite handicrafts, and stunning gemstones.
• Yemen Pavilion: This pavilion features various traditional foods. Yemen is known for having the best honey in the world, which is available here.
• Morocco Pavilion: This pavilion offers various types of coffee flavored with cardamom.
• Turkey Pavilion: When visiting the pavilions, be sure to check out the Turkey Pavilion and enjoy a unique shopping experience by selecting from the country's unparalleled handicrafts, such as glassware and traditional Anatolian ceramics.

In the Global Village, there are various foods available in cafes and restaurants, which we will examine below.

• Restaurants: In the Global Village restaurants, you can try various cuisines from different countries.
• Cafes: During your visit to the Global Village, you can stop at the cafes to refresh and recharge with a variety of cold and hot drinks, cakes, and other snacks.
• Happy Street: There is a street called Happy Street in the Global Village where many dishes are served with cheese, including cheesy potatoes, cheesy pizza, mac and cheese, and more.

1. Peter Rabbit Adventure Zone

The Peter Rabbit Adventure Zone opened in 2021. This cartoon character, which has long lived in the hearts of children, along with his friends Lily the Short-Tailed Rabbit and Nankin the Squirrel, has built homes in the Global Village Dubai.

2. Mr. Rabbit's Cafe

In this place, your children can enjoy playing while you relax in the calm environment of the cafe with a cup of coffee.

3. Mr. McGregor's Garden

This beautiful heavenly garden is an exciting and adventurous entertainment spot for children who love nature. Here, children can engage in gardening and planting plants, eventually taking them home.

The Global Village hosts 40,000 exciting shows in one season, including children's performances and international live shows.

• Artists Theater: Many artists from around the world perform live shows.
• Shows for Children: Your children can be entertained by seeing cartoon characters such as Peter Rabbit and PJ Masks.
• Fireworks and Fountain Dance: Fireworks and fountain dances are considered one of the most popular attractions in Dubai's Global Village.

In this vast space, various games have been designed for all family members to enjoy fun and exciting moments together. Some of these activities include Miami surfing, Arabian horse riding, bumper cars, and more.

Visiting Conditions for Dubai Global Village

• Ticket Price: If you purchase your ticket online through the app, you will receive a 10% discount. The ticket cost for adults is 30 AED. Additionally, children under 3 years and individuals over 65 years can enter for free.
• Visiting Hours: Dubai Global Village is open from Sunday to Wednesday from 4 PM to midnight, and from Thursday to Saturday from 4 PM to 1 AM.
• Ladies' and Family Days: Mondays, except for official holidays, are designated for women and children.
